Drawings
I am inspired by Jim Dine's fabulous tool drawings. Recently I was introduced to the concept of making my own tools to draw with, creating tools that bob, wobble and are hard to control. Use of these crude 'hand made' tools has extended my vocabulary of mark making and allowed for free, fluid marks to be made. These drawings have been made on Zerkyl paper which is a thick and textured heavy duty paper, there are four in the series and more are planned. The drawings explore the concept of ordinary items as monuments. These drawings are also available as screen prints. | |
